Our First Ever Wine Week
30th April-5th May 2024
Many of you know Jikoni for our cross-cultural flavours and ode to the maternal kitchen through our Co-founders Ravinder’s desire to represent “recipes and techniques handed down through generations like feminine gospels”
We have also been quietly tasting and working away over the years to build a unique wine list that crosses borders and features many under-represented wine making cultures. We also hoped in this process to support diversity both in looking for more female and minority wine makers in our buying choices. This is an ongoing project and so far Jikoni’s list is also rare in London in that it is made up with over 90% organic and biodynamic certified wines.
For our very first wine week we’re celebrating these producers and bottles with you, by opening up over 24 wines all available the glass (carafe and bottle) for the whole week. We invite you to join us at any point through the week to get to know more of these exceptional and more unusual bottles.
For those wishing to be involved in the excitement of tasting crafted and sustainable seasonal drinks without the alcohol, we will have our delicious small batch and single estate teas and seasonal house-made softs.
This list will be open all week with wine partners and producers popping in through to answer questions table side alongside the Jikoni team. Just book a table as usual.
Some of the wines we'll be opening for the week include:
