Jikoni celebrates the launch of Zaika by Chef Romy Gill MBE with a Brunch Paratha Party

On November 24th, to celebrate the launch of our good friend Chef Romy Gill’s beautiful new book Zaika – a treasure trove of delicious and accessible Indian vegan recipes, Jikoni presents a Sunday brunch to savour with a Paratha Party.

Romy and our founder Ravinder Bhogal will be celebrating their Punjabi roots by creating a brunch platter that will include two unique Parathas, Homemade Pickles, Dal Makhni, Raseele Makki Aloo, Romy’s famous Punjabi Samosas, Raita, Gulab Jamuns and Jalebis plus unlimited chai.

Ravinder said:

“For many Punjabis, parathas are a taste of home and the maternal kitchen – I still yearn for my mother’s Sunday morning parathas – fried flatbreads which are India’s version of a fry up. I am so excited to have Romy in our kitchen who I know regularly makes parathas for her own children and is something of an expert – what a treat for our guests.”

There will be 3 intimate sittings of just 10 people per session through the day at Jikoni’s kitchen table where guests will be able to meet Romy. Her book Zaika will be available to purchase on the day and is a must have for meat eaters and vegans alike.
