On 28th November, Jikoni will host The Samosa Sisterhood, a special charity event to help women and children who are victims of domestic violence with no recourse to public funds. The event is in collaboration with Professor Aisha K. Gill Ph.D. CBE, University of Roehampton. Beneficiaries of funds raised include: Asha Project, Safety4Sisters and Women for Refugee Women.

The Samosa Sisterhood will combine a sumptuous feast curated by Ravinder Bhogal with readings that celebrate women from a stellar line-up of guests, including comedian Meera Syal, musician Anoushka Shankar, chef and TV personality Ravneet Gill, actress Indira Varma, poet and writer Nikita Gill and news anchor Mishal Husain, plus DJ sets from leading DJ and Burberry model Yung Singh and his Daytimers crew.

There will be 2 sittings: Lunch 1pm – 4pm and Dinner 6pm – 9pm
